Welcome!

Welcome to A Nutritionist and A Cook! We are a husband and wife with two little girls currently living the military life on the East Coast.
_

I (the wife) am a “Bachelor Qualified Nutritionist” (undergrad in Nutrition and Food Science) and currently pursing a masters degree in Sustainable Food Systems.
_

My husband was once a kitchen manager of a fine dining restaurant in our old college town. He is currently serving in the military, but loves cooking for the family when he is home.

Beliefs

_
Together, we believe food is more than counting calories, macros, or dieting, but more about community, family, friends, and enjoyment. Life is too short for boring food, but it should also be nutritious, delicious, and eaten with a conscious.
_
We will never exclude any dietary preferences. We believe the discussion around food needs to be centered around the four pillars of sustainability: cultural, environmental, economic, and social wellbeing.
_

Follow along on our journey to living and cooking with a conscious. (We will discuss what exactly this means over the next few weeks!)
